“I have 4000 years of knowledge behind my needles,” says acupuncturist Luc Carey. He adds that the term “needle” can be misleading, since they are incredibly thin and the patient barely feels them being inserted, if at all. Acupuncture is a facet of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that has been steadily gaining popularity in the Western world. Luc, who has his black belt in Aikido, was inspired to go into acupuncture by his Aikidomentor, who also works in the field. “Both Aikido and acupuncture focus on mental and physical health, on maintaining balance,” adds Luc.
Luc has been welcoming clients to Luc Carey - Acupuncturist, in Vaudreuil-Dorion, since January 2015. The clinic, located on Saint-Charles Avenue, is calm and welcoming, and Luc’s warm presence immediately puts first-time patients at ease.
