This Restaurant is Windsor's hidden gem. My wife and I eat there every time we are in downtown Windsor. I cannot say enough good things about the place
Amazing Food. Everything on the Menu is Fantastic. The decor could use a makeover but the food more than makes up for it. I wish there were more places like this.
I've dined there several times, at the moment I've got a delivery of vegetarian tofu pad thai on the way.
I think FOODWISE that the restaurant is a 9 or 10 out of 10 depending on the day you go.
In terms of decor, while they have renovated recently it's nothing marvelous. The practically barren, no stones on the bottom aquarium just jars me each and everytime I'm there.
What I'm building up to say is this is NOT a first date restaurant. It's somewhere you go for the food and nothing more. The drinks list is spotty. It's a great office lunch place, it's a great dinner with friends place.
For a recent birthday around 10 of us dined there and the food was excellent and served quickly. I am straining to give this place a 9. I have eaten there enough that I've had a few times I was less than in love with everything served and the time it took to reach me. I will with no reservations recommend Basil Court and have done so many times but I will not call it perfect.
Service is usually good.
