There were actually 20 of us along with children...
There were actually 20 of us along with children. We were celebrating because my 6 cousins were visiting us from Northern Italy. They were leaving the next day & we thought we would go to Mama Alfa's for a treat. Boy, was it ever a treat! The food was beyond compare and my Italian cousins thought it was just as good, if not better than the food served in Italy. Quite the compliment & richly deserved! Mama Alfa and her husband & son were gracious & wonderful! We were welcomed with open arms. Mama even arranged for a limo ride for all the kids - what a thrill that was! I had also asked for her to arrange for a birthday cake for my Father-in-Law and the cake was wonderful! Thank you does not even begin to describe our gratefulness for such a wonderful evening!
I have been a regular customer for years with Mamma Alfa. She literally makes the best pizza I have ever eaten, and I have eaten pizza all over the world. Even more amazing is her pasta. You have to make sure to order any pasta ahead of time because it is all freshly home made.
I have often ordered delivery and have always been pleased with thier friendly service.
Mamma, Leano, Ralph and Tanya are always very friendly and welcoming. You are treated like family there.
The restaurant is decorated and gives a warm glow. They always play soothing jazz music in the background.
I recommend anyone visiting the Thunder Bay area to try this amazing place.
I'm teaching up in Fort Hope and was on a conference this week. Accompanied by a friend and frequent patron, I was warmly welcomed upon entering by Mama Alfa herself and her husband. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable, the service beyond reproach, and the food was fabulous. What a treat!

Always a wonderful restaurant to escape to. Off the beaten path, quiet and always welcoming. Mama Alpha, Ralph, Tania and the rest of the staff, role out the red capet with their genuine Hospitality each time you walk through the door. The food is exceptional. Pizza beyond compare. My favority, if i can spell it correctly, is Chicken Cacciatore Pizza... to die for. Heaven awaits at Mama Alph's!

Mama Alfa's is my favourite restaurant! Whenever I visit T. Bay I make it my "first" stop and often my second and third stop as well!!!The pasta is always excellent regardless of the dish (spagetti, ravioli etc.) and the pizza is the BEST in North America with all fresh ingredients. Mama Alfa's customer service is extraordinary - Ralph and Alfa make everyone's visit memorable. The atmosphere is very calming with Italian music playing in the background and on occasion "live music". When in Thunder Bay, Mama Alfa's is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!
