Due to the popularity of this newly opened smokehouse (six weeks) expect a wait during peak meal times and no reservations allowed. When you exit your vehicle in the parking lot you are immediately greeted with the sweet smell of BBQ smoke billowing over the roof of the restaurant. Try not to drool. Lots on the menu to choose from. Good portions. A two beer wait for your food. My ribs were a little tough but the chicken was tender and moist. Good BBQ sauce on both. Onion rings are beer battered with stripes on them not sure what the stripes are but they had a very unique flavour (good). Sweet potato fries were good as were the garlic mashed potato's. Both were piping hot!! Interesting deep fried corn bread comes with the meal. One side of the menu is BBQ - flip it over and the other side seems a little more traditional ie: hamburgs wings etc. Lots of side dishes to choose from. The staff rush around to keep things on track. Not to say they are unfriendly - they are very attentive but are focussed on the job at hand. I have spoken with several individuals about their experience at Dog's nest - never heard anything bad yet! Add me to the list of happy customers looking forward to trying more on the menu. Would like to try the sampler plate for $45.00 that feeds 4 to 5 guests.
