On September 30th 2011 I found out that I had bed bugs. I was devastated. I had to wait until Monday October 3 to speak to David Saunders, the owner and Environmental Pest Management Technician. When David came to investigate my apartment, I showed him the sample I had collected. He confirmed that I had bed bugs. We walked around the apartment and he explained to me the process and the preparation necessary for him to come and spay my house. My brother and his wife came up on the Wednesday. I debriefing them on the procedure and process to get the apartment ready for David, I got rid of my bed by wrapping it in mattress bags, taped and identify them and bring them out. All the fabric had to be washed and dry for a minimum of 20 minutes (47 load of laundry). We vacuum everything wash everything in the house with hot water and put all ornaments, breakables and decorations away in plastic bins. We steamed cleaned everything we could and moved the furniture away from the walls. David’s knowledge and explanation of the process was exemplary. He gave me clear instructions to follow. The first time he visited my apartment, he provided me with his business card and he told me to call anytime if I had any questions and I did. It was a lot of work to get everything ready but the end result was to get rid of the problem and the only way to be sure is to follow the directions of the expert, David. It’s been 21 days since David did the spraying. Life is almost back to normal. There has been no evidence of bed bugs in the apartment. I would recommend David’s services to anybody that going through a problem like mine. I would also recommend to anybody to take his advices seriously in order to be certain that the problem will be eliminated. He was professional. His knowledge provided me with the confidence that I had the right man for the right job. Thank you David for getting rid of the bed bugs!
Excellent Service Above and Beyond what I expected
I can whole hardily recommend Paramount Pest Control for any of your pest problems. I have dealt with the owner on 4 separate occasions at two different residences for 2 different problems. He was polite, professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the problem, the best way to tackle it and what would be involved. No surprises, no BS, just good service.
The first problem was ants in our apartment. The landlord called him in and he sprayed the apartment. No more ants.
A couple years later we bought a bungalow and the first spring we ran into carpenter ants. We called and had Paramount come in to take care of them. He sprayed up the main level, the basement and the outside of the house. We saw lots of dead ants and we thought we had found the main nest and that the problem was resolved. Later that fall we started to see a couple more ants. We called and Doug, the owner, and he came back to re-spray and lay some traps – free of charge (under the warranty). The following couple of years we saw some more ants but not as bad, so we laid our own traps.
Well it wasn’t until we started to do the bathroom renovations that we discovered the window in the shower was leaking into the wall creating the perfect condition for ants to live. This explained why we kept getting ant problems no matter what we tried. After dealing with the immediate ants with a can of Raid and realizing that this was main nest we called Doug again. I was expecting to pay for this service since it had been a couple of years since he last time he came out. Once I explained who I was, Doug remembered us and offered to come over and spray/gas my bathroom now that I have the walls open and that I have found the main nest for free. He went out of the way to make sure we were satisfied.
I appreciated their professional manner, their promptness and most of all the fact that their pest control service is so effective.
My wife and I enjoyed coming back to a home free from any kind of bug.I suggest that if you have any type of bug....this is the only company you should call. They are reliable and so reasonably priced which is so needed in this horrible economy.
