This place has taken a nose dive since Danny sold it. The new owner is more interested in being dressed in nice (slutty) clothes than running a business to the standard Danny set. Messed up pick-up orders, rude customer treatment and crappy food has lead this 20+ year customer to vow never again! Too bad as it used to be the best in Kitchener.
This place used to be good, decent food, decent prices, good personalities. This has all taken a dive, chicken balls are under-cooked dough with little chicken, rice is tasteless crap and prices are up. With all the Chinese choices in K/W, this should be yours out of desperation only and for no other reason
their food is too oily/greasy and ingredients aren't fresh. i heard of this place from a friend and had high hopes but was highly disappointed. the service is very minimal, and was slow the night we went. oh well, i still have my favourite to fall back on.
Mei King used to be THE Chinese food place in Kitchener; not sure what happened... new management, lost their cook?? I hadn't been there in a long time so I was looking forward to a nice meal with fresh ingredients but what we ended up with was not as expected. The food was horrible. Bland, greasy slop. The description no way matched the food--ingredients were missing or substituted. Both myself and my guest left 3/4 of our plates. The place used to be standing room only, but this time it was empty--only 4 tables filled. Guess that says it all. They've gone seriously down hill. Don't bother with the place any more
