Thirteen years ago, Bob Erhardt while working for an extended warranty company decided that Canadians deserved a better class of warranty program. Bob was an old-school business person who subscribed to traditional values of quality products and outstanding customer service.
If youre a dealer considering Peoples Choice I would caution you. I was a growing lower volume dealer and because there were a few high claims on the repair side in one year, they pulled our agreement without notice. They said I dont have the right to be in a partnership where they lose money (even though vehicle breakdowns after the fact are completely out of the dealers control). Its unfortunate Peoples Choice doesnt stand behind their dealers went it counts.
Prompt and professional service however my used car had to be diagnosed at my expense at one of their designated garages. Got Partial coverage for engine replacement. For the same amount of money out of pocket I could have had my car repaired in a week rather than a month.
The guy I spoke with on the phone was really nice and comprehensive and explained things properly. Their answer when I went to the garage for what was covered was quick and done within 25 minutes. My only negative comment would be that I paid 3050$ for this warranty and I'm wondering why a 100$ deductible would be necessary, it makes no sense to me to have a platinum warranty and be charged a deductible.
The service was good and everything but had to pay more then the deductible for gear oil which id say is part of the job however it's better then me paying for it all. As well as there was a gasket that wasn't covered by the company but the shop covered the cost of it at the end.
