The food was unbelievable. The service was also great! The seafood platters were huge with tons of oysters, mussels, shrimps, lobster tails, crawfish, salmon. It was delicious. The waitor was also very helpful and courteous and quick with everything. He made sure everything was going well with our visit every step of the way. The atmosphere is cozy and spacious.
The food and atmosphere was amazing. A live Jazz band played through most of the night. Light breeze through the garage-style windows. Good service and amazing food. The swiss miss chicken was amazing!!!! I didn't order it but I will next time. Good thing about ordering different dishes... you get to sample everything. And everything was amazing! About half our party ordered the swiss miss chicken because it sounds so tempting - were not disappointed. The steak was huge and succulent.. as was the lobster tail. Jambalaya was okay. Would definitely go again and be more adventurous with the menu:)
Service is the worst. Waited 1 hour 30 minutes for the main course. Chowder was horibile.
we had a staff christmas dinner there. they had obviously overbooked. it was very packed, and therefore service was slow. I had been looking forward to trying the place, but i was really disappointed with the food. it seems as if they try to let the theme of the restaurant carry the customers through their visit, instead of actually focussing on the quality of the food. the meals were just thrown together, nothing was really great. the salads were miserable excuses for caesar salad. nothing was restaurant quality. I didn't pay for the meal, as it was a staff dinner, but i was really very disappointed with the quality of the meal. desert was actually quite gross, it was a chocolate mousse cake and was very tasteless and cheap. for coffee, they handed us all an assortment of mugs of different sizes and shapes. as if they had clearly run out of mugs, and brought out every dirty, chipped, odd sized, oddly embelished cup or mug they could find. the service wasn't great, no major mishaps, but the staff was really rough around the edges. the band was horrible, and really geared towards entertaining the 40's-50's crowd. i won't go back, adn it's a shame because i thought it would be good, i live 2 minutes away, and i am happy to pay for a good meal, but louisana just isn't worth it at all. i was so disappointed that i actually tell ppl it's not worth going if they mention it.
It was our 5th time for dinner since '06. I've brought many people from the office & they now go on their own. Great food & service & we love to go when Danny Brooks is playing there. We always make reservations & last time we were there, the chef came out & danced with one of my girlfriends. We are going back on July 21st.
