Victoria's top charcuterie choices

Attentive service, expertly mixed cocktails and fresh locally sourced foods make this a chic spot for socializing over late-night nibbles. Linger over complex drinks like Paris of the Prairies and other intriguing concoctions inspired by stories from Canada’s pioneer past. Savour the earthy flavours of assorted sausages, bone marrow, grilled bread, olives and house mustard on The Big ‘Choux’ charcuterie board ($60).

A toast to Victoria’s best whiskey bars

As a proud sponsor of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, Little Jumbo has access to Scotch whiskeys you simply can’t find anywhere else in town. The staff, and your fellow stool-mates for that matter, have an intricate knowledge of all kinds of whiskey and are happy to impart their years of experience to anyone willing to listen. If you want to learn more about the drink while having a great time, think of Little Jumbo as an unofficial whiskey school.

Late-night eats in Victoria

Late-night eats in Victoria

Cocktail lovers, this is your late-night restaurant. Little Jumbo prides itself on quality mixology, with an extensive list of complex concoctions available for your drinking pleasure. Sip on a "Paris of the Prairies," a mixture of Alberta premium rye, Gabriel Boudier cassis, dry vermouth and cinnamon bitters over Saskatoon berry ice cubes. Pair it with one of their tasty cheeses, starters or main course meals. Food is served until 10 p.m., but you can nurse your cocktail until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and midnight on other nights.
