Ludy's Cake Shop

Myrna Ludy always wanted to own a cake shop. She had experience in cake decorating and her husband Henry by her side, so when the duo’s aunt and uncle were ready to sell Ludy's Cake Shop, they jumped at the chance to buy the bakery. “This business has been here since 1986,” Henry says. “We changed location once after our aunt and uncle retired.”

Specializing in Filipino cakes and baked goods, Henry and Myrna serve up their creations, providing customers with a tasty introduction to Filipino cuisine. “There aren’t many places in Edmonton that serve Filipino desserts,” Henry says. “Other cultures and nationalities love what we have. We frequently serve Chinese, Vietnamese – all Canadians.”
