WOW is all I can say. An unexpected event landed 30 people in my home and LaRoma provided an amazing feast for all!.Thank you so much it was incredible, take out Rocks!
Wonderful service, spectacular food with each dish. Elegant surroundings, advice on food and wine generously given. A warm welcome to us and our friends. Special selections of unique Italian food and wine. Chef willingly adapted to any food sensitivities or preferences expressed by our friends. Made us all feel like family.
It was my husband and my anniversary, along with our long time friends who were also celebrating a birthday the night we decided to dine at this god awful restaurant. From the time we were barely greeted at the door we were asked to sit at the bar and wait for our table which we had reserved 2 weeks prior. The young lady behind the bar who obviously had no experience never once asked us if we wanted a drink or did she offer us any menus. The whole time she chatted with other staff and loudly complained about other customers. We couldn't believe what we were hearing! Finally we were brought to our table by the lady who was falling asleep at the other end of the bar who we were led to believe was the owner of this zoo. The menu was typical boring Canadian/Italian and far from authentic. Everyone's meal was a complete disappointment, we even declined the complimentary desserts. This was the worst dinning experience we've all ever had. We definitely won't be returning to La Roma ever again!
Good food, decent prices.
My goodness. How much salt can you add to a dish?. Way too much at La Roma. Almosat unedible main dishes.... in fact my wife could not swallow 90% of her veal dish because of the salt dosage. Veal soaked in salt. Everything on the Italian Combination Plate soaked in salt. The tomatoe and buffalo mozzarella salad was good and nothing else. We could hardly wait to leave and rinse our mouths out!

The menu at La Roma changes based on what is available from local farmers, making it seasonal – of course – but also fresh and inventive. Come and start with shrimp or deep-fried lake smelts with oregano. They've got a dozen different pastas as well as six delicious variations on veal, including the standout veal scaloppine with cremini mushrooms. The corkage fee here is $20, but is waived on Thursdays.

Homemade pasta, sauces and dips are complemented by fresh ingredients sourced from local farms. Enjoy mouthwatering primi like zucchini fritters, or a delicious, rarely seen dish: deep-fried lake smelt with oregano, black olives and spicy crushed chilies. Then gear up for a secondi like the fazzoletti pasta featuring nothing less than ricotta cheese, spinach, tomato béchamel sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan.
