We ordered the Lemon Chicken, a Lo Mein dish and a mixed rice dish. The restaurant was very clean and had a comfortable atmosphere, able to accommodate fairly big groups actually (5-6 ppl/table). Food was served within minutes - big portions considering the low prices. We visited the restaurant in the evening when it was less busy; the lady serving was nice, asking a few times if we had everything we needed. Low prices, good food... definitely worth another visit. I have been to Jack Astor's only a few times, and both times the service was great! The atmosphere was also great, very fun, and exciting. You get crayons to colour on the tables and there are funny quotes around the restaurant. My only problem is that when I ordered my food which was a very simple order, it was wrong. My caesar salad had carrots in it and no croutons! Although the food is great and mistakes are made, it is just inconvenient. Aside from the mistakes, it is a great place to go to just hang out with friends, and have a drink or 2. The servers and waitresses are very kind, and they are always on top of everything. The restaurant is also never a mess, I never seen anything even left on the tables when another customer leaves, they are on top of it all right away which is really good. Read more
