We eat here as locals on a regular basis. Service is average, but the food is pretty decent- great eggs Benny and super sausage. Portion sizes are average which is good if you don't want to overeat.

It was a totally decent place, everyone was really friendly. We were travelling (moving) with cats and I smuggled my kitties in and they kind of turned a blind eye. Besides that everything was clean and professional. You always know what to expect with this chain - reasonable price, clean, everything works. I'd stay here again if I had to stay in Nanaimo and just wanted a good place to sleep (as opposed to a Bed and Breakfast or something).

I stayed at lakeview homes this past summer with my family. We have 5 kids, plus my parents and a visiting nefew! The house was perfect for us, spacious for all the kids, (and even a ping pong table!) clean and such amazing view! We had such a blast going into the backyard for early morning kayaking before heading out for the day, and usually again when we came home. What a beautiful get away. If you come to Vancouver Island to experience the West Coast and not some stuffy hotel room this is the place to be. It has waterfront river access and friendly West Coast welcome with gift baskets and personable service. The rooms were lovely. You can use the BBQ and the wharf. You can cook inside or outside and save on food costs. Great for families or friends or just to meet people in the outdoor areas if you want. I would love to come back with friends again.
