I have visited many Chinese style restaurants in Oshawa and Whitby and I have to say that I was not expecting this degree of quality and freshness from a fast food place. I would have never ordered from here because I always like to take a look at the menu before I get delivery (which I could not find online) but because of location I decided to give it a try, I mean it's only $30-40 after taxes for their specials so no big deal. When I got my first delivery I was shocked of how much food their was and how tasty it was. Not too greasy, spiced and prepped perfectly, warm, timely, and friendly service. For the price, and for how good the food is, I have no idea what these other reviews are talking about, it's most likely the competition.

my brother and I ordered small sized Pho /w our choice of 3 items in it, it came out fast and steaming hot~ Thai basil was really fresh, like they just picked them up from basil plant a minute ago, awesome~
we also ordered 3 skewers of beef Shish Kobab, mid-well interior was excellent and juicy~
we also ordered fried lemon grass chick wings, this is really bland, we had to add white peppers and hot sauce to make the wings eat-worthy, other than that, the wings are pretty juicy and moist~
finally, the reason why we won't come back to this restaurant is because there was a server cleaning the chop sticks on table at that night~ she dropped a chop stick on the floor (by accident), and she glanced at the fallen chop for a sec, and pick it up, and return it to the cleaned tray of chop sticks~ pretending nothing had ever happened~ that was so horrifing because we might be using the dirty chop sticks~ Yak~ triple Yak~
I mean, couldn't she just return the dirty chop stick in the "to be washed" bin and just get over it~ NEVER EVER return it to the tray of cleaned chop sticks~ this happened around 11:10 pm on June 1st, 2010~

We have been coming here for several years now and just can't stay away. It's the service and staff that make it for us! The food is not fancy, just reliable and good.

Service was pretty good considering we were eating in an asian establishment. Tea was topped up, food was replenished quickly, and the side dishes kept coming.
I didn't use their washroom but the location is accessible by TTC or Car. Nice spacious dining area and it was clean. I liked how food was coming non-stop. We had so much food that night - great bang for our buck. Although the taste of the food was a little bland (compared to other Korean BBQ places), the side dishes made up for it. I think we took their stock of kimchi and spicy bean sprouts =)

Haven't been here for a while and was pleasantly surprised to find that they have redecorated. Replaced a number of tables with booths and that makes it much nicer inside. Food is great. Lots of variety. Excellent prices. The one thing about this place that annoys me is that they never bring your bill to the table -- I always have to go to the cash to find out how much the bill is and pay. Not a biggie but still annoying.

This is the location inside the Splendid China Tower, and as corny and lame as the mall sounds, this restaurant really gives you value for your money. For 10$ a person excluding taxes, you get authentic asian style soup (NOT cream of corn or vegetable soup), starter salad, main course, authentic asian dessert (none of that green tea ice cream stuff) AND a large bubble tea drink. The seats and tables are spacious and comfy, the place is ALWAYS clean, the decor is VERY nice, the place doesn't look sketch at all. The selection of main dishes mainly includes rice and noodle dishes. The service is welcoming and friendly. Would visit again.

We usually do take outs on weekends but went their for lunch on weekday and thoroughly enjoyed it. It didn't look big buffet but wow had lots of varieties to eat and especially fresh nan and tandoori chicken. Not big on Indian desserts too sweet for me. Was highly recommended by a friend of mine whose family are regulars at Kimling. She catered from Kimling for her son's first birthday party and I was instantly addicted to Kimling's food when I had it at the party. I went last friday with a group of 8 to satisfy my cravings. My friend told me to look for Suzie who is the owner. She is such a friendly lady and made us feel welcomed. She also suggested all the dishes we ordered. They were all delicious. My kids made me order the appetizer called Pepper Chicken thrice because they really enjoyed it! I even ordered the Pepper Chicken, Hakka Noodles and Hot Garlic Chicken to go because they were so good. I will definitely be back and will recommend more friends and family to this little gem in Scarborough.

It was pretty decent. We got the beef wrapped in pancake, smoked pork with pancake and shrimp dumplings. It's a lot of carbs, so you get full pretty quickly. If I had to do it again, I would get one pancake dish and two types of dumplings instead.
