Clean. Caring and professional.
My pet came home happy and had no problem returning for another visit later in the year.
They even helped me sort out a training problem I had. If only I known the solution was that simple without any harsh methods.Read more

This quaint historic inn and spa is a great place to dine in Prince Edward County. I have visted this inn a few times to dine over the last few years. However, we recently went for an evening out two weeks ago. The atmosphere is usually quiet and intimate (i.e. don't bring the kids) and the service friendly.
The selection on the menu wasn't bad with many meat, chicken and fish options...although there was not a steak entree. The food was good, although not "to die for" as it was when the previous chef was there. Although, it was still tasty and creative.
Very nice wine selection with some fabulous local choices.Read more

Have eaten at this delightful and very special historic inn in the Village of Grafton, at Ext. #487, off Highway 401, just east of Cobourg, Ontario, many times before and have always had wonderful meals and great service--no complaints ever! However, Friday, May 27, was a different story. Our party was promptly seated at a well set table in the main dining room and there was 1 other table of women in the room and a couple of diners in another room across the hall, so the place was not packed. There appeared to be 2 servers on duty at lunch. The food was impeccable and arrived promptly which was not the problem. The meal was spoiled by the surly, terse, unsmiling and unenthusiastic personality of our female server. Our group was quiet and undemanding so all 6 women mentioned how miserable our server was throughout the entire dining experience. It is a shame that one dysfunctional staff member can cast a pall over an entire dining experience which should have been a happy one. We left adequate tips, however, but feel the management of this delightful treasure of an inn is not being well-served by a staff member who is obviously unhappy with her job and seems to take it out on the customers. We would go back but next time we would ask for another server if this miserable lady were on duty again. Obviously some re-training of staff is needed here or perhaps, termination. This lady really needs to 're-think' her choice of employment at such a wonderful inn as this!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is doing a real 'dis-service' to her employer/s who pay her salary. Let's hope this was an 'off' day and not a sign of things to come. The owners deserve better than this from staff.Read more
Tanya has been a caregiver for both our cats, Minnie and now Lily, multiple times.
We love the setting and Lily can lounge on her balcony in the great outdoors weather permitting.
The rates are reasosonable and you couldn’t ask for a more gentle, knowledgeable, caring person to look after your pet.
I would not go anywhere else!
You will not be disappointed.Read more

I love going to the Old Bridge Inn(OBI) all summer long. I love the way its a little tucked away restaurant where you can enjoy the view and breeze from the patio, take a walk after dinner to the locks, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with amazing food.
As an appetizer, I usually have one of the salads cause the dressings are soo good. Not to sweet, not to thick, just right and the greens are never swimming in dressing either, which is something that I prefer over soggy salad.
Most recently, I had the broiled trout on quinoa. Oh my god! So light, and fresh. This chef really knows how to cook fish. It was nice and moist, evenly cooked with a fresh fruit salsa on top. I loved it. I think that the trout was actually local, and the server said that it was caught just the day before. So Fresh!!! And it was accompanied with quinoa, which is a nice alternative to the plain, standard rice you get with rice in so many other restaurants. And of course, the signature vegetables! I don't know any other restaurant that gives you so many vegetables, all with individual flavours and spices. On top of it all, they carry some of Ontario's best V.Q.A. wines, as well as a variety of international vintages. I enjoyed some of the Inniskillen Pinot Grigio, and it went so well with the fish.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to get out of the city and have a great, relaxed dining experience.Read more
