Love this place. Fish and Chips the specialty and they are great. But try the pan fried pickerel, oh my! Other menu items good too. We almost always go back to the pickerel. Staff are fun, rather than formal. If Ken is there, he tries to take a minute to say hello, old or new customers. Read more

Really great place. I go all the time. It's really inexpensive and the staff treats me and everyone I go with very well. The sushi is always really good, and the menu has a lot of variety. one of our usual food places, as we can walk to it, and the food is good. The owners have a great attitude (desert first for the kids!), are very friendly, as are the staff. ( Only thing I would change is maybe the menu could change up a little more often.) Just an example-my 5 year old came in holding a birthday card she received in the mail that day, and we were going for lunch. The owner came and talked to us for a bit, engaging my daughter in a little talk, then after lunch, the whole serving staff, plus owner, came out of the kitchen singing happy birthday to my little girl, with a free plate of deserts, with her name written in chocolate. The Jambalaya was supurb. First time eating a Jambalaya dish. Originally, it called for shrimp, But I subbed those for scallops. The had NO problems doing that. It was full of Chicken, scallops, spicey italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and red onions in a creamy tomato sauce topped with a garnish of green onions. This is my first review, which I felt compelled to write seeing a negative one here. Don't believe it, this place is clean, nicely decorated and you can't beat the food. There aren't many places in the area where one can get fish & chips, unless they drive to Barrie and go to Fancies Fish & Chips. Blue Water Fish & Chips is a small restaurant with a tired decor. Mind you there are historical photos of boats that have travelled Georgian Bay & the Great Lakes and are interesting to look at.. We love the halibut served here. While the portion size is small it is extremely tasty, with mild tasting halibut and a golden batter. After the second or third bite you can taste & feel the grease but isn't that to be expected with deep fried fish? I've never eaten fish & chips that I haven't tasted the grease. We hate it when the restaurant is closed for vacation. We love eating here and they even have lots of newspapers and reading material for those of us that prefer to read while we're eating. All we've ever ordered has been the fish & small chips or else we'll order 2 fish and a small chip each and we never go away hungry. Read more

The Kawartha dairy ice cream & milkshakes are delicious and not over priced. When you line up make sure you look at the big board so that you can tell the cashier what flavour you'd like. We ordered a pizza one night and brought it back to the boat, it was hot & delicious and you could tell that they make their own dough, we've only had bad food experiences in Fenelon Falls so it was nice to actually enjoy a meal. Looks like when we are docked in Fenelon we'll be eating pizza. The only thing that I thought was a bit tacky was when I ordered my vegetarian pizza because it was later in the evening the owner tried to get me to buy his old dried up pizza instead of the fresh one I ordered. Given the fact that I ordered vegetarian why would he suggest I take the meat pizza slices? Not a big deal, just thought it was a little cheeky. Read more
