My mom and I and my 2 boys went early on a Sat. night, I was very pleased with the service, the decor, the menu, we both got the roast beef and the shrimp appetizer, both were awesome, the shrimp were huge, the meat cooked to perfection to what we had asked for, yorkshire pudding, fresh vegetables cooked right, homemade mashed potatoes, the boys ate of the kids menu which I was surprised they even had as it looks fine dining when you walk in, the chicken fingers and fries were delicious. The waiters treated us very kindly and were very attentive, when they found out it was my birthday dinner they brought out cake and sang, when we were leaving the place was packed, perhaps an upscale crowd judging by the fancy cars in the parking lot, they also have a separate lounge and outdoor patio, both very nice and comfortable and a sign that said free h'ors doeurves from 4 - 6 during the week, I'm definitely going back and would highly recommend this restaurant. Went to DC with the child for open house and decided to look for lunch on the way to 401. We passed it and turned back as we didn't want fast food. It's a tiny place with 2 tables and 4 rickety chairs but we are happy we stopped there. The girl (owner's daughter it turns out) behind the counter was sweet and efficient. She made us 4 samosas & 4 shawarmas that were delicious and filling. The owner provided 2 free bottles of water for our 1st time there as well as a orange drink for the two guys ahead of us, also their 1st time. Friendly, fun and good food too. We put the tables together and had an excellent lunch. There's just no elegant way to eat shawarmas so you need lots of napkins. Wouldn't want to eat there in the winter as it probably gets quite cold in there. Read more
