I have to say that we've been coming to this place since it opened. We went to Cedar village because we couldn't get to Shawarma Chef, and it just re-enforced why we stopped going. It was not even busy and it was suppertime. We use to go to Cedar Village but, the garlic sauce is a mix of mayo and garlic, you want an extra tomato? pickle? onions on the shawarma? Its all extra costs. The owner, he makes you feel like he's doing you a favour serving you. Now, Shawarma Chef, the mom and dad come out and talk to you, the place is impeccably clean. You want a little extra, no worries, you want extra meat, they charge you a couple of bucks! My kids love the kafta, and we love there chicken, moist, seasoned nicely and bread is always fresh...the other...there's a reason why it gets overly toasted. Read more

I may be bold and say that it is the best in Rockland and if not, one of the best in Ottawa. The owners are very friendly and attentive. My husband and I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. We find that with Orleans being so full of "big box" generic restaurants, it's nice to find a little haven of yummy~ness! We've been here many times and ordered take-out as well and have never had any complaints. We always order the same thing (shrimp rice paper rolls, vermacelli with chicken and spring rolls - we've also tried the pho soup) and it's always SO good. The peanut sauce is definitely addictive!!
