The vegetable lasagna was delicious, the sea food salad was superb, however the tiramisu was awful. I can't remember the name of the sea food pasta that we ordered but it wasn't good either. The atmosphere was a bit crowded, we sat very close to another couple and could hear their conversation even though they weren't loud.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I've been here a few times and always look forward to going. The decor is unpretentious and the food is fabulous! On a whim on a perfect day this summer, I found myself on Center Island with a delightful 2-person-bike rental. My companion and I biked to Ward Island and stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe.
We sat on the backyard patio and it was a brilliant sight. Perfectly tree-shaded area with a gentle breeze to set off your view of the lovely garden and the lake behind it.
The service was good: warm and attentive. The food was nicely done, and I enjoyed my salad (very filling) and chatting in the pleasant surroundings. This is a perfect place to stop for a break, a light meal or a cool drink on a warm day.
I will definitely check back upon returning to The Island.
