We arrived a little late for without reservations, but the restaurant had a table and seated us immediately (was a full house). My dinner companion ordered a glass of wine (sauvignon blanc) which was delivered promptly. I had Shiraz. We ordered the salade. The salad was crisp, fresh with crunch toasted walnuts, sweet roasted beets, and tangy raspberry viniagrette. The prawns were fabulous, seared tender and sweet, prepared with lemon butter, tomatoes and capers. Our entrees were the New York steak and she ahd salmon. Both were very good, prepared just right with a light charred crust. Did not stay for dessert, as we were out of time and had other commitments (hotel reservation) and a curfew. Our server was attentive, without being intrusive, and very helpful with explaining the menu choices. Unfortunately, he was a he. Room was dark, clean, lots of wood tones... room is a little packed, but acceptable because the darkness assured privacy. Read more

I visited West with a friend that had been there a couple of times before. The outside of the restaurant was very unassuming. You would have no idea that there was a fantastic restaurant inside. Parking may be an issue as it's a busy streetfront but they did seem to have valet. We sat at the bar and had cesars until our table was ready--made fresh with muddled tomato right in front of our eyes. The food was all amazing both in appearance and taste. REALLY good. Excellent dim sum. Limited menu though. The pan fried chow fun noodles were excellent. We had them put some XO (chinese) sauce and kick up the spice and they came out this delicious mix of yum! While the rest of what we had was fine, none of it really stood out. We did come back twice to buy some noodles to go and picnic'd in the park with them. Read more

I was here for a Friday lunch with a party of 4 in a comfortable booth. There are hooks to hang your coat up at each booth. The seared tuna with bacon sandwich was so delicious. I was somewhat looking for a healthier option. You gotta love rare and tender or else don't order this. I normally love their yam fries but stuck with regular fries this time around.
