I absolutely love this place. The food is quite good, the portion sizes are generous, the prices are right, and the service is always friendly. Speaking of portion sizes, I love their appetizers. They have some small appetizers which are priced relatively low which is wonderful. I don't want to spend 75% the cost of a meal for an appetizer so large that I'm not hungry for dinner any longer. Wish more places would offer appetizer portions like Amarosa. There is a wide selection available so you'd be hard pressed to find something you don't like. I'll be back. Read more

We came here for ‎the dinner, show and dancing. Every table had a good view of the stage. The Abba tribute band was fantastic. The service was excellent. The food was very good & We shared the 3 & 4 course options. We started off with endive salad, mussels, daily pasta special of Italian sausage in red sauce that was cooked al dente, risotto w/ porchini mushrooms & pork tenderloin. Along w/ a nice bottle of chianti we finished off with tiramusu & panna cotta. It was a great evening out. Read more

Hate the wait but love the food. If you come at 10pm on a Saturday still a 10 minutes wait. I have been here a couple of times before and always excellent. The meatballs in tomato sauce just amazing. We had the zucchini and rabbit pasta dishes and both so good. Cooked just al dente, good amount of flavour and just enough coating of sauce. Very good selection of by glass or bottle wines. Goldies pizza is different then your usual pizza place. It is distinguished by the pizza itself. When you buy a slice (or a whole pizza) you don't end up with a huge bready crust, Goldies is served rustic style... on thin crust. It's seriously the best pizza I have tasted in town. I prefer the mushroom pizza the most. YOu can see all the slices Goldies offers through their display window right off of Pender street, or you can go inside, sit at the bar, and order a beer while you they heat up your slice! I really liked the atmosphere. The owner, Michael, is a classy guy. He treats everyone with respect who walks in the door. They are also becoming more tech savy, and are adding their listings to Foursquare, and twitter. I checked into foursquare at goldies pizza, and got a dollar off their draft beer. Its a nice place!
