Mandarin is a really excellent place to eat a buffet. They are really kind to you and free refills (water, coke). They give you these mint candy after your visit for free. If you tell them that it is your birthday, they give you a cake piece, sing the happy birthday song and a free picture. Also, they have decorations for you to enjoy and they keep the place very neat. I like how they make food and name the food it’s specific name. The names also say if it is sugar-free, and if it is spicy. They have specific rooms that they assign you to eat and the sign tells you what room it is (Room A, Room b .etc.). The employes are really nice and when you come in, they make you feel welcomed (unless if the lineup is really long and people have reservations). After you are done with your food, you can just leave your plate on your table. You can get a new plate with food on it so you do not have to use the same plate over and over again. In conclusion, you should really go to Mandarin. It is a really excellent buffet to go to. It has crab legs right now and they are really expensive to buy at a store. They have a variety of foods and make their own combinations of foods which is really good. I rated this Keg a 4 but that is a balance of infleucnes because there is a good side and a down side. The good: the cleavage OR the mini-skirts. Notice that checking out some cleavage on young ladies or short skirts is pure entertainment and super. BUt for some very strange reason no waitress has both of them. Its either this or that. What is the story? I dont know. The girls with cleavage have pants, the girls in minis have no cleavage. STRANGE> the other down side is the kids. People, if you have three kids can you ask them to stay at home or leave their baseball caps at home? this is a high class restaurant. I had been to JJ Japanese Thai beforehand and was never disappointed. This was my third visit and I was more than pleased. The restaurant was nicely decorated with beautiful table linens, wall decorations, and pillows. The servers were kind and attentive. Our server, whose name was Alina, was so kind and friendly, she asked us if there was anything we needed on a consistent basis and also provided free ice cream for being such great customers! Decided to take my grandma out for dinner and thought that the Diana would provide enough variety to keep us all happy (grandma as well as our young children). We had an earlier reservation, but even as the restaurant got busier, the service was good and attentive. Our girls decided on the cheesy pasta (kids option). It came super quick and was served at an appropriate temperature for them to dig in immediately. So many restaurants place piping hot food in front of kids. I also ordered a side of steamed broccoli for the girls. While my kids gobbled it up, my only suggestion is that they work on it a bit. Seemed a little bit like pasta in milk with shredded cheese. But, as I said, my kids gobbled it up. I had calamari and a greek salad (both appetizers), my husband had the lamb medallions, grandma had the halibut and her partner had the vegetable pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The Diana offers an amazing variety (greek salad, pasta, steak, curries, etc) and we continue to go there as our default Guelph restaurant. In fact, we will be going back there for breakfast tomorrow morning with more family! Their chai is delicious! :) Read more

I had driven by this downtown georgetown pub many times without even noticing it was there, so when a friend suggested we go in for a few beers, I was surprised that I hadn't heard of this place before! The beer list was mostly new to my eyes. They offer a huge selection of local microbreweries, which are surprisingly delicious! We ordered the fish and chips as we sipped on beer that had been brewed no more than 40 km from where we were sitting. The food took a bit of time, but this is definitely no fast food restaurant.... The fish, which we were told was freshly beer battered in the kitchen, was the best we'd ever tried. This would not be my last visit. After coming in for the past year, I've noticed that this pub is at times understaffed, service can be delayed due to volume, but this is also a place to come and take your time. Ok so Sauga is full of great places, and Axia is one of those great places we always meet friends at when we're in the region. The sushi here is quality and consistent. You can tell right away that they use a higher grade of fish than some of the local AYCE (all-you-can-eat) places. The Dragon rolls and spicy rolls are pretty much different than any other place I've been to which keeps me coming back. The wifey doesn't like sushi, so she likes to stick with the Chinese and Thai food which she absolutely loves. The look and feel is nice, sort of like an outdoorsy theme. Service was friendly and fast and the bill is reasonable for a place like this. Anyways, give Axia a try, it's one of those places that'll keep you coming back for more. Read more

My boyfriend and I just came back from dinner after finally making a trip into this hidden gem. We live in the area and always walk by and promised ourselves we'd make our way in at one point or another. We are huge on trying out new restaurants for great food and great service. We often dine out at 5 star restaurants and Grano Ristorante is now in our top 5. It is a cozy, dimly lit restaurant with welcoming and attentive staff. Our servers were well-knowledged in not only their menu, but in Italian cuisine overall. They were a delight! My boyfriend ordered the gnocchi which could only be described as out of this world! It had this perfect light texture and feel as the ricotta gnocchi just melted in your mouth. The chicken marsala was a light blend of savoury and sweet, perfect to the last bite. The food is served hot and fresh which makes a great deal of a difference when dining out. I can't wait for my next stop inside, or for an order to go.
