Hands down the best quality of ingredients and dish presentation in the area.Not pub food which is what most other eating establishments in town are. Visited for lunch on Sept.15th 2010. The atmosphere is very nice in this restaurant, and the service was fast and friendly (thank you Lynn). Our meal choices appeared on our table in a timely manner and the food was delicious. Two thumbs up for Fiddleheads. If we are ever back in Perth, we will definitely visit this restaurant again. I love the general atmosphere of this place which is charming and delightful. Its in a beautiful heritage house that transports you back to another time. The service is quite good too. The restaurant itself is pretty nice...good decor, good size, was accomodating to a large group, and had fairly good service. The food, however, wasn't so good. The menu said the spaghetti sauce was homemade and one of their 'claims to fame', but it tasted like canned sauce with some mushrooms thrown in. The meatballs were definately frozen before being thrown into the sauce. They didn't have that cooked in sauce taste that good meatballs have. Many of the people I was with had the schnitzel and they all thought it was good though, so if you're going, order that and don't bother with the pasta! Read more
