I made reservations and went to the restaurant at the end of May for my 18th birthday party. It looked very elegant fom the mall entrance. The ambience was very modern and cozy, though it was slightly noisy at times. Service was prompt and attentive with our orders and the manager even came and brought me a piece of chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday" written in icing on the plate. Everyone unanimously agreed that the food was great. We shared a group veggie, chips, and dip platter and I had the steak well done. It was cooked to perfection and was artfully arranged with savory garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. The cake I received was delicious, as was the sorbet a friend let me try. Overall, the evening went perfectly and the meal was easy on the wallet since none of us drank any alcohol. I would definitely come back here or to another Oliver & Bonacini managed etablishment. We hit up Arlequino for the 2nd stop on our downtown pizza crawl. The Napoli pizza's crust was very thin with crispy edges and the sauce had a fresh and sweet tomato-y flavour. Arlequino got this pizza right on all accounts making it the highlight of the night. As for the Torino pizza, fried egg whites replaced the sauce on the same thin crust. The truffles and parmesan work very well together, but it just gets too rich. Not your everyday pizza and you certainly feel something is missing. We did enjoy Arlequino's sleek décor, and it did score the best pizza of the night, so we are certainly looking forward to coming back. Read more

Minestrone is the best in town and the seafood platter for two is just perfect - two kinds of fish, shrimp cooked two ways and the best calamari I've ever had.
