This place was bustling on the beautiful sunny day we headed over, and I now know why. Everything about this place was great! The server was smiley and took great care to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The food was fresh and tasty, and sitting outside in the fresh air with the lovely park and lake view was unbeatable. The french fries are so good, they don't need ketchup! If you pass by, make sure you take the time to stop here. It's well worth a detour, too, to be truthful. Read more

We (myself and my daughters) stopped by on route from the Ottawa to home (Hamilton) on Sunday August 8th to order take out. Our family has stopped at the Gateway Restaurant for decades to enjoy their always delicious family style meals. We ordered club sandwich platters and a BLT platter- sooooo delicious as always.
