I have lived in Welland for over 30 years and have never eaten here until they mentioned "Buffalo Chicken Burger" on their advertising sign out front. So we decided to stop in and try it, I must say, it is a great burger and possibly the best in the entire Niagara Region, it is reasonably priced with perfect golden fries but no one else makes a Buffalo Chicken Burger like Cheers does. Was in for a visit a couple of weeks ago to order a take out of their homemade pizza and was pleasantly surprised at the new addition to the bar and decor of the pub. I haven't been in the trap in about 6 months so it was refreshing to see some changes positive in nature. They have added more draught taps for more beers choices and have replaced all the chairs with a more modern clean look. The kitchen is still as good and the beer is always cold. Read more

I do not regularly eat at this one. I prefer the one on Cliifton Hill in Niagara Falls. I went here for a date with my boyfriend. I was seated rather quickly and drinks were delivered quickly. I ordered their pepper pizza. Waited about 25 minutes and then got our food. It had less toppings as the picture on the menu. The atmosphere was fine. The waitress staff were adequate. But overall I prefer the Clifton Hill Boston Pizza. The waitress staff seem a lot happier. And the food LOOKS LIKE THE MENU PICTURES. My husband and I are so lucky there is a restaurant in Fonthill of the calibre of Zest. It is as good as a "Toronto" fine dining. The service is wonderful from the time you enter the front door, and until you leave. There have been times I've been thrilled with the menu, and other times not so much, but still be able to find something that pleased me well. My only criticism, people who have Celiac disease really get left sitting by the curb. Although at Zest they make an effort for those of us who need a gluten free dinner, other steps could be taken. If there are appetizers that are served with bread, rice crackers could be substituted for gluten free diners. Also, there is a wonderful gluten free bakery in Chipawa, that makes wonder bread and glutten free cakes.They even deliver to Fonthill. I just wish more restaurants would educate themselves in gluten free dining. It's not rocket science, and more people by the day are being diagnosed. When my husband and I want to celebrate, we go to Zest. I'm thinking of holding our 25th Anniversary Party at Zest, and inviting 30 of our friends. I know, Zest would not let us down. Read more

Marriage issues caused a divorce and Vicky has held onto this restaurant, and works very hard at making this beef and pork only establishment and success. She does a great lunchtime business, but I have always been a night time customer. every Thurs Night every week for a long long time. The meal is Excellent and prices very reasonable. Its is a simple establishment, its either pork or beef with fires, straight cut or curly. If you have never been you are missing out on one of the BEST beef dinners you will ever taste. She comes in early and cooks her meat on a spit in the building, behind a glass enclosure. She is obviously doing well as she takes holidays to Europe often. To visit grandchildren.. How do I know All this. I've been a customer probably 20 years and have a very good repoire with her and staff. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
