Mei Ling has been around since we moved to Aurora 26 years ago and the food is always consistent (Great) their Chilli Squid is one of their specialty and it is to die for. Kismet is my go-to place for Indian/Bangladeshi food in Waterloo. I usually get take out because the space is pretty small, and I've never had a problem with the people at the cash. My partner is not a fan of cilantro and they've never given as a problem when we ask for items without. Their naan is the best I've had in Waterloo (Grain of Salt in Cambridge is the only place I've tried with better naan). Much better than the sort of pancakey stuff I've seen at other places *cough*Curry in a Hurry. I really like their aloo gobi, which is potato and caulifower with curry spices. My husband and I were excited to learn that they offered dim sum on weekends and we were not disappointed when we went last Saturday. The items we ordered were served quickly, they were hot and most were really tasty. The only thing neither of us really cared for was the BBQ pork buns - which weren't bad, we just found them to be a little too sweet. I recommend the fried "triangle" pork dumplings, they were especially delicious! The atmosphere isn't great but it isn't terrible. I actually appreciated that there was some effort put into the decor (the kimonos as curtains on the booths were a nice touch) but the pine tree air fresheners were a little out of place. The prices were very reasonable, we ate well and left satisfied for $20 (tax and tip in). We'll definitely try their other dishes, and look forward to returning for dim sum. Read more

I went the other day with a couple of friends and I have to say it was a nice cozy place to spend the day with a couple of friends. The sushi was tasty, the service was great. They were so polite and friendly. To the person below, this is Canada. Not Japan or anywhere else in Asia, where their specialties are Asian food. Also didn't help the fact you had high expectations going in which could have affected your overall impression. "Worst sushi" is not something I would use for this restaurant.
