Grab a quick, delicious lunch in Montreal

Lunch is one of the only meals that I go out for. My favourites are delicious, cheap, and pretty quick.

Kinka Izakaya

1
1624 Sainte-Catherine St W, Montréal, QC H3H 2S7

I love the shoyu ramen here. And the place seats a lot of people so you are likely to be seated quickly – real boon for someone on a schedule!

Den Cafe

2
6576, boul Saint-Laurent, Montréal, QC H2S 3C6

This is where you’ll find the best pho and papaya salad in town. That’s all I ever get here, because who needs more?

Grillade Portuguaise ma Poule Mouillée

3
969 rue Rachel E, Montréal, QC H2J 2J4

The Portuguese roasted chicken here is the best in town, trust me. And do not laugh at the poutine. Eat it!

Dic Ann's Centre-Ville

4
6224, rue Saint-Jacques, Montréal, QC H4B 1T6

This place has a few locations, but I only go to the original on Pie-IX. Try it and you’ll understand why. I’ll have two cheeseburgers, please!

Restaurant Pho Tay Ho

5
6414, rue Saint-Denis, Montréal, QC H2S 2R7

A fast take-out joint for those on the run, I go to Tay Ho for the buns (which contains either BBQ pork or grilled chicken). The Tay Ho salad is something to behold.

Restaurant Kazu

6
1844 Rue Sainte-Catherine O, Montréal, QC H3H 1M1

Kazu is the king of lunch in my book. It’s the only line I’ll wait in for lunch if I have time to spare. Taste their amazing ramen, rice bowls, and rotating specials. It’s the real deal.

Dépanneur Le Pick Up

7
7032 rue Waverly, Montréal, QC H2S 3J2

Yes, it’s lunch in a dep, and it’s the best kind. Breakfast tacos, a breakfast sandwich and grilled haloumi are my usual orders.

Wilensky's Light Lunch

8
34, av Fairmount O, Montréal, QC H2T 2M1

Simply put, this place does it best. Try their Special with Kraft cheese, half sour pickles and a chocolate egg cream. No loitering allowed.

Euro Deli Batory

9
115, rue Saint-Viateur O, Montréal, QC H2T 2L2

This is the best restaurant in Mile-End. In the summer, the cold borscht is a must. In the winter, a plate of perogies or bigos with sausage will lift your frozen spirits.

Guests who visit Montreal seem to have insatiable appetites. Satisfy their cravings at any of these top tables.
