The new owner of Thé du Dragon brings a breath of fresh air and a Mediterranean touch to this Atrium tea shop.
Henika Sozkes, born in Turkey but of Armenian origin, was only six years old when her parents immigrated to Canada. She studied administration and worked in accounting for 14 years. When her husband opened his own auto body business, she took care of the financial side of things. Henika also worked for some time in the field of jewellery, inspired by her father who was a very talented jeweller. "My husband knew I was looking for something that was more like me," says Henika.
So when the former owner of Thé du Dragon, a family friend, wanted to sell the store, Henika's husband saw an opportunity for his wife. She loved tea and had already fallen under the spell of the oriental decor of the teashop, making it a perfect opportunity.
