Sale-Sweet is the meeting of a voluntary health and Mediterranean diet approach, consisting mainly of nuts and dried fruit. A diet that is largely exported outside the shores of the Mediterranean. In the center of the shop, we offer packaged products from around the Mediterranean.

Meet the owner

It was the 1980s and Canada opened its borders to engineers from around the world. Looking for a more stable life for his family, Dody Moubayed, an engineer from Syria, immigrated to Montreal with his family. Chance brought him to work with his cousins, who'd started a dried fruit and nut business.

“I started to learn the difference between Vietnamese cashews, Brazilian cashews, Indian cashews," he says. "I discovered all the different ways nuts were prepared and the health benefits of various types of nuts.” Soon Dody became an expert and began to  decipher the local market.  Inspired by the increasing trends toward healthier eating, he set up shop on Mount Royal Street in 2008. Salé Sucré was launched with a mission: provide fresh and delicious nuts at a bargain.

    Nous sommes toujours bien accueillis chez Salé Sucré. Monsieur Moubayed est passionné de ce qu'il fait et connaît tous les détails de ce qu'il vend. Il n'hésite jamais à nous conseiller ou à nous faire goûter. Ses noix et bonbons sont superbes et d'excellente qualité. Il est responsable de notre bar à bonbons pour notre mariage et nous avons un service impeccable !

    Quel mauvais endroit ! Le propriétaire ne supporte pas les enfants, cris sans arrêt du fonds de son magasin « NE TOUCHE PAS ». Agressif. Se permets même des commentaires irrespectueux. Si tu n’aimes pas les enfants, champion, n’ouvre pas de magasin de bonbon !
