Jeune Coupe Enr Succ

La Jeune Coupe is a hair salon located on Maurice-Duplessis Boulevard at the corner of Armand-Bombardier in Rivière-des-Prairies. Well established in its neighbourhood, the salon has been serving the community since 1991.

However, La Jeune Coupe wasn't initially the same salon it is today. Elizabeth Speranza and Vincent Argondizzo have been the co-owners from the very start. They met when Elizabeth was working in a clothing store where Vincent was manager. One thing led to another, and Elizabeth became a hairdresser in Vincent's wife's salon, located in the Montréal-Nord neighbourhood. Together, they decided to open their own salon, historically located further east of the neighbourhood.

The original La Jeune Coupe had a game room, seats shaped like trucks, and surprise lollipops: all to make the experience enjoyable for toddlers. When it opened, the salon was specialized for young ones — that's where its name comes from.

"Rivière-des-Prairies was the ideal neighbourhood," Elizabeth explains. "There were many young families with children and many schools in the area. There were several hair salons, but nothing was oriented towards them, even though we know it's not always easy for a stylist to cut kids' hair."
