Antidote Superalimentation welcomes you to their establishment. They are open at night all week. Payments by Visa, MasterCard and American Express are recognized.
How about a vegelox and cream cheese bagel, minus the lox and cream cheese? At Antidote Superalimentation, you’ll find a playful, delicious and heart-warming version of the Montreal classic made with a base of in-house cashew cheese. Antidote Superalimentation’s diverse clientele, including the hungry street construction workers, wander in not knowing it’s a vegan market/juice bar/café. They plop down at the counter and order, and are pleasantly surprised by a lunch that hits the spot with unexpected flavours and textures.
Located in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) neighbourhood, Antidote Superalimentation is a lofty, cozy space that’s a showcase for rare stars. You can take home a bottle of golden emerald cold-pressed hemp oil from the Gaspé region of Québec, for example. Or you can get a shot of wheatgrass alongside in your raw organic smoothie. The wheatgrass and other crispy nutty sprouts are snipped fresh to order from the special fridges that co-founder Charles Pepin (Chuck) admits he saw on Dragon’s Den. “We wanted to create a store where you don’t get a headache examining labels,” he says. “Regardless of your diet, it’s a place to discover.”
