On the day of her 12th birthday, Allison received an unexpected gift from her mother: a Kodak camera. She began capturing inspiring scenes, precious moments and family connections, and filling albums with images of friends, neighbours and pets. Little did she know that her childhood pastime would develop into a lifelong career.
When she was just two years old, Allison took up ballet and contemporary dance and carried that talent into Concordia University where she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts. It was there, between rehearsals and productions, that Allison discovered how much she enjoyed documenting what was going on behind the stage more than the dance and choreography itself. It became clear what her next step would be and soon, she was enrolled in the commercial photography program at Dawson College.
In 2008, Allison was ready to combine her longtime passion and professional skill to offer people from every walk of life the very thing she’d thrived on as a child: timeless moments captured forever in stunning portraits.
