“The way I see it is, if I’m not doing something creative just for the joy of photographing, what I’m doing is just a job,” says seasoned photographer, John Hryniuk. “I can’t call myself a photographer if that’s my attitude.
To this end, in between a busy schedule shooting for commercial clients and doing studio portraits for individuals, John makes sure he keeps his creative juices flowing by shooting subjects that catch his eye and imagination. “Some of these projects go on for years,” he says. “Right now I’m collecting images of celebrity impersonators and people entering their dogs into shows. I like people with colour.”
