A little more care needed
I have been going to En Vogue Nail since they opened and was very pleased with the service and cleanliness of the place until recently. The owner seems to be a bit stressed these days and it is showing, at least to me. Her staff needs to take a little more care when they take you to the machines where you put your feet and hands to dry your nails properly. Of late, they just take your bag, take you over to this section and say "sit here". Before they made sure that they helped you put your feet and hands under this heating apparatus properly. As a result, I have smudged the nail polish a few times because this was not done. I also don't like how they (the owner and her staff) speak in their native language (which is not English) in front of us, the customers – they do it all the time . It is not only bad manners but it annoys me because they could be ill-speaking one of the customers. I would really like to see them stop this practice. They also seem to be in a rush most of the time in order to attend to the other customers. If they want better tips from me, I would like to be given a little more attention. This is a service, yes, and it is not a 5-star spa, but I am paying for the services and expect a little more attention and not be treated like if I am an object on an assembly belt. You may say if I don't like it, I should go somewhere else. Maybe. I live in this neighbourhood and I think that if businesses in the neighbourhood want to survive, they should please the residents. If everyone looks at the situation like I do, they would surely have to close down.
