For Daniel Freudman, barrister and solicitor at Freudman Law, the world of law is filled with opportunities and excitement. He worked for a large firm after finishing law school, but he needed a change. Not content simply sitting on the sidelines, Daniel opened up his own practice soon after. “I wanted to be my own boss and work for myself," says Daniel. "It lets me choose my cases and do the type of work I want to do.”
Having his own practice gives Daniel a competitive edge over other, larger firms. “It lets me give clients the unique, individual attention they deserve,” says Daniel. “I don’t have a secretary, so when a client calls, it goes straight to me. And, because I’m the lawyer handling their file, I can tell them right away all the necessary information. At bigger firms, unless the crime is quite significant, you’re handed off to students and junior lawyers. Here, you get me every single time.”
