RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! i was about to place my order before i was rudely interrupted by a server named NORMAN and Banged on my Table Repeatedly and said "You have to order coffee or Leave! I already gave you 5 minutes!". The Place wasn't even full, I asked for his Manager and Complained him. I Hope the Management do something about this.

Pressure Cooker

I think the only thing that saved the day, was this bearded Cook that people called "Bala" ? He had about 7 peoples orders on the go at the same time. He seems to be bothered by other staff getting in his way, but none the less carried on full speed ahead. He really knows what he's doing, and though the food could have been better, and choices as we are both Celiac, and there were no Gluten free choices at all. Everything seemed to be based around Sugar and salt, very little healthy choices, and over prices drinks. The tap water was free.... Get "Bala" some help! and improve the menu choices for all people

I've been here many times and was never disappointed. Restaurant grade food for less than Fast Food prices. It 's more of a Marche style vs. cafeteria. Burgers, pasta, fish and daily specials are very good value considering I've paid more when eating at the food court in Eaton Centre. Drinks are pricey but no more than what you would pay at anywhere else. After all, this is a sit down restaurant, no waiter means no tipping required! They should try to add some new menu offerings!

I work in the City Hall and am a daily visitor to the Cafe on the Square. It is not the best place to eat and am quite surprised by the poor service and quality of food provided to tourists and staff. The fish always tastes spoiled, the sandwiches never change, and variety is pretty poor. Sandwich staff and coffee staff are fairly ignorant and rude and tend to overcharge if you are not paying attention. Prices are over inflated. If it wasn't convenient for me to quickly eat something while at work, I'd never go there.
