Like most tradespeople, John Gassa started his career in the welding business, working for someone else. But, he soon found the experience dissatisfying. “When I got into welding, I was working for some other guys,” John recalls. “They didn’t like working as hard as I did, and we were all doing more than the owner was. So, one day I decided to take a leap of faith and strike out on my own.”
John opened up Arc Angel Welding and gathered a group of people who share his skill and love for hard work. “I have a pool of skilled guys that I can draw on all the time,” John says. “I tend to keep people that I notice have an eye for quality and have a good work ethic, because we’re operating more under quality than quantity here.”
