After reading the numerous positive reviews here, I decided to drop in for dinner. It was a Friday afternoon, between 4:30 and 5:00pm.
The bar was already busily humming with lots of customers, so I took it as a good sign that the place wasn't deserted... but after taking a seat at a table, I waited for 15 minutes without so much as a nod from the waitress.
Clearly, either they were understaffed or they simply were too busy tending to the drinking crowd and weren't interested in serving a single diner.
Disappointed, I casually got my coat on and left, again without so much as a second glance. It's too bad, I really was looking forward to trying out the highly rated pub food.

A friend of mine told me about this place after having a great meal there. Was pleasently surprised to find out they had all my favourite Scottish dishes on their menu. We had the Steak and Guinness pie and the Shepherds pie. Both of these dishes were excellent. We did not realise this bar has live bands playing six nights per week so on our next visit we will we will definatly be allowing more time to take in their entertainment. Can't wait
