I have thoroughly enjoyed each guitar lesson taken at Guitar6. Each session was tailored to my skill level and full of variety. I look forward to continued play and advancement in my playing capabilities.
Our 12 year old son has been taking lessons with Phil (Guitar 6) for about 1.5-2 years. Our son started without any knowledge of guitars...I mean ZERO knowledge!
Here we are 2 years later and our son is really good at the electric guitar, playing all kinds of songs, and also figuring out popular songs/riffs and how to play them, and putting his own spin on them.
We're extremely happy that we found Phil at Guitar 6. Phil teaches our son all the notes, and how to read the music, but balances out all the not so fun theory with lots of great tunes to play and practice. Our son likes talking ALOT, but Phil is very patient and really knows how to get the child to understand the music.
Aside from excellent guidance, the great thing about these lessons are, they're private! So that half hour once a week is dedicated completely to our son. Had we gone with one of the larger music schools the cost would have been much more, and there would have been at least 5-7 other students during that half hour. We're VERY happy to have our son playing at Guitar 6, and we can definitely see the pride in our son when he plays for us and friends. Oh, and yes our son loves the fact that he can play guitar!
