Made the mistake not to properly vet this "contractor". According to the Ontario corporations public records, BENCO CONCRETE INC. was registered 2009/05/22, and has an address in Strathroy, Ontario, not a FedEx PO box in Kitchener.
Be sure to search for the Ontario governments publication "Your rights when starting home renovations or repairs" before considering this contractor. Experience? Little more than half the points in the Ontario governments publication were raised with this contractor.
Benco Concrete has been in business for 30 years and it shows. Sheldon, his crew and his suppliers exceeded our expectations in timing and quality of workmanship. Having done extensive research and, after inviting several quotes, we went with Benco because of their reputation in the K-W and Cambridge area and are completely satisfied. Benco concrete made my dreams into reality. I called for an over the phone quote and Sheldon explained everything to me. The quote was competitive but the install was a work of art seems worth a whole lot more. The install was mainly stamped concrete and looked like a natural stone. He even hooked us up with an awesome constrator who did a fabulous job on our pool. They worked hand and hand with us and gave us evactly what we asked him for.

After starting a project 2 months late. The owner was a bully. After ducking out calls for weeks it was only after threat of legal action could we get him to call us back. His workers showed up then disappeared for 3 days. When we asked them why it is because they got a bigger 50,000 job. They left the road on a residential street covered with large piles of stone and dirt on unmarked creating an extremely dangerous situation at night. If you question his work he gets extremely defensive.
