This was one of the worst experiences for take out in Burlington in my 8 years I have lived here. Not only did my meal not come with my husbands but when I called to find out what happened they said they would call me back and I finally waited 20 minutes until I had to call back again. When I finally spoke to the manager I received an “I’m sorry and that my meal would be there in 10 mintes. It finally came- 25 minutes later cold. This whole terrible experience cost me 60 dollars.
When you go to Chaps you have to get the wings!!!! They are the best but you have to get the saucy ones with hot sauce. My family will go every birthday or special occasion because we love it and I have been going to Chaps since I was about 4 years old I am 21 now. We also order onion rings and sometimes fries. 2 years ago we went for the Super Bowl what a crazy time but it was awesome!!!
The food here was great! Everyone loved their meals, I really enjoyed my boneless honey garlic wings, my bf loved his fall off the bone rib sandwich. Our waitress wasn't the greatest, but the manager(?) definitely made up for it, he came buy to see how the meal was and to chat with us, he was funny!
This "was" the place for wings.... As far as I can remember I think they started the breading or coating of wings. Maybe not but I do remember they had the best. And that was their reputation was for their wings, that they had the best. So, tonight when I ordered wings breaded, you cannot imagine how disappointed I was. Dried out. Very dried out or over cooked. To make matters worse, they couldn't even coat them with any sauce! When they arrived my boyfriend looked at his and said they look OLD. I hate it when he is right! This was my second time in less then a year and both times I have been disappointed.
My boyfriend and I went out for a casual dinner date and thought we would try this restaurant as we have driven past many times eyeing up the patio!!! We were greeted right away and asked for a spot on the patio. We were told we could choose what table we would like. Our server was AWESOME and very friendly and helpful suggesting menu options. We had nice cold drinks and the servings of food were ginormous!!! The weather was great,no bugs, and great service made us decide we would definitely come back here!!!
After a 2 hour wait with a 2 year old child we finally got our meal. The Ribs were uneatible, a staile smell. The rest of the meal was not bad. We were charged for the ribs and everything even though you could not and did not eat them. The restaurant was full so we had to sit outside and my daughters went home and got our coats. The watiress took our name and phone # and said the manager would call. This has not happened. Sorry we will not be going to your restaurant again.
I expected that when my daughter took me to Chaps on fathers day it might be busy, but two hours? We arrived at 5:30 and did not make our show at 7:30. When the meal finally came the corn on the cob was ice cold, I had to spit out the first piece of steak because I could not chew it and could not cut anouther piece to try. The waitress came to our table four times to apologise for the long wait so I do not blame her, she was tring her best. When I asked to speak to the manager (ToTall ?) she said I was 22 second in line to talk to him and I could leave my name and number and he would call me the next day. So I did and of course no phone call. I would definetly not go back.
My husband and I had the munchies late last night and decided to try Chaps. They took us in at 10:30 without hesitation even though they close at 11. Their special was 1/2 price appetizers so we tried 3 items and all were delicious! Our waitress was friendly and service was great. We are going back tonight to try something else :)
WINGS WINGS WINGS Go on wing nite. Wings are really good, but service is very poor. No matter when we go, we always get the same rude and non-attentive waitress.
It's the wings, baby..... IT'S THE WINGS!!! Best in Ontario. I commute to Chaps at least once a monthe from Ajax and it's only for the wings. I have been coming here for the wings since 1982 and they have continued to set the benchmark. They have now moved down the street but the wings continue to top the scale..... Best in Ontario.
This place is slipping. Used to be terrific. The wings are the only "safe" item on the menu. Last time I went there I had pasta. It was horrible. All you could taste was the flour used to thicken the sauce. Someone decided to put portobello mushroom pieces in it, although I don't remember seeing those in the description on the menu. I usually steer away from them. As a result, the pasta looked "dirty" and tasted gritty and bland. We complained to the waitress who wasn't overly concerned. My mom had fish and chips. Very thick, wet batter. Barely any fish. The chips looked like they were 2 days old. No manager ever came over. Filled out a comment card, and never had a reply. Very disappointed. My parents love this place for some reason, but IF I go back, I will only ever order the wings.
HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!! BEWARE!!! I have been going to chaps for many years and the service just keeps getting worse. My wife and two children and i waited a 1/2 to get our meal. We asked for a manage and no one ever showed up. Our waitress was rude and horrible. I had to force my wife to go to this place and she has know convinced me never to go again.
Potatoe skins were ok but way too expensive. 8 bucks for 4 half potatoes total of two potatoes...tasted ok...but hey that has to be a 300 % gross mark up...Booze was Ok ..was there on a Sunday.
I can't fault our waitress who was very friendly and she tried. They sat us (Mom, Dad and 2 Teenage children) in a small back room full of toddlers and there we waited for our food. After a very, very long time, she came to tell us that they had burnt our steaks and would we like another appetizer while we waited. We ordered natchos and they too so long that we had just started them when they finally brought our food out. They forgot my side order of mushrooms completely and when I had to ask for them, they arrived overcooked and so salty that I could no longer taste my steak. My husband had mushrooms on his burger and said the same thing - way too salted and they overtook the burger. $100 meal that left a bad taste in our mouths. Not going back.
Avoid the fajitas at all costs. I ordered beef fajitas, and what came was a pool of soggy vegatables, some beef, in an orange pool of grease. If you go here, order wings, everything else is like playing Russian Roulette. The beer might also be okay. The food gets a 1 because it wouldn't let me put in zero.
Decided to try the place. We were greeted friendly by the hostess. We were placed in a crammed area, near the back patio but still inside. We had to move some tables, no idea how people could have been seated there, especially during a dinner rush, because there was like a couple inches between the chair backings. The waitress was okay at the beginning, took the order and dropped it off at the kitchen but then she left to go outside on the patio and talk with another waitress. We waiting there for at least 1/2 an hour before a manager or supervisor came by and asked how we were doing. We explained we were waiting for our food and the waitress was outside talking. The supervisor got her back in and told her to serve us. Once we got our food she went back outside. The food was pretty good except the garlic bread was partly burned at one end. Overall okay but looked a bit rushed in appearance. The chili was kinda slopped in, they made a bit of a mess on the plate. Eventually the waitress came in and asked how we were doing. And went back out. Once we ordered dessert and ate that we waited for the bill. And waited. My father had to walk around the restaurant and find her, finally getting the bill. After he found her, we paid and left. Not really sure if were gonna go back. That was our second time there, the first time was good but this one was bad. She looked like she wasn't trained properly, and continually talked with her co-workers then serve us. If we do, we'll probably request someone who has more experience and a server who doesn't leave the customers to go chat as much.
We all have been to the old Chaps in the past and never had any complaints. BUT THIS TIME!!! The Bruschetta Bread was the worst that I have ever tasted and I am not even Italian--Imagine if I was. The Mozzarella Sticks or as your menu says"Stix" were freezer burned..the dipping sauce was cold and old! The Nacho Grande had stale lettuce and moldy cheese..yes I said moldy. The Tomatoes were stale and the green onions were far past their prime. The Wings were half over cooked and half crispy to the point of non tolerance. When I ask to see the Manager the waitress said that he was busy and would get to us as soon as he could, needless to say He never showed up. The waitress then came back and presented us with our bill and we asked about the Manager and her reply was; "He felt that their is nothing wrong with your food and you must pay". She said this in a condecending and pompus manner and acted like she was a waitress for a Fine Dinning Establishment. We payed the bill and left her a well deserved tip 0 that is ZERO !!! WE WILL NEVER BE BACK NOR WILL OUR FRIENDS AND CO-WORKERS!! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU>? AN X-FAN
The servers are spoiled brats who can't carry more then one iteam at a time. The Hostesses stood around and watched each other talk on their personal phones. Not a Manager was seen. You should be sut down!
THE WINGS ARE ALWAYS GOOD BUT IT WILL BE MY LAST VISIT THERE AS THE SERVICE WAS POOR. WHEN I ASKED TO SEE THE MANAGER HE BLAMED THE OWNER FOR POOR STAFFING AND OFFERED US A 10$ OFF VOUCHER,WE WATCHED THE WAITRESS SERVE OTHERS AND WE FELT IGNORED. THE HOSTESSES OFFERED NO HELP AS WE'D ASK THEM TO PLACE OUR ORDER.
i went to chaps on a lunch break on a monday afternoon. after having getting stuck in theyre snowed in parking lot i waited 15 mins at the front door, finally i went to the bar and asked for a table for 2. we both got what was suppose to be a club sanwich- instead we recieved a stail bun with tim hortons bacon and sun dried chicken smothered in mayionase. we both couldnt eat it so we explained our dissapointment with the "manager" and recieved 50% off the final bill? rediculous
