All you can eat pickerel on tuesdays is amazing. Not deep fried, with an always good vegetable medley and Roeti (potato). Great atmosphere, looks like a swiss chalet, lots of wood nice bar with good selection.
I gave this place a bad review a couple of years ago. But just recently my parents (who were with me during my last visit) ate at the restaurant again and they were very happy to report that it was a completely different experience. My dad raved about the fish he had for days. And he is not one to go on about the food unoless it is fantastic. I am from the area and I don't like giving a bad review unless it truely was bad. And I am thrilled to be able to pass on a great review to a local business. So, I am willing to try again.
We have gone many, many times with friends and family. We absolutely love the cozy and charming atmosphere, the people, the food and service received. My kids love it too. The view to the lake and falls, as well as the fresh flowers on the tables, the delicious breads offered before your meal and the tiny Swiss chocolates at the end all add to the experience. Their breakfast menu is also very nice. We like trying their specials. We feel fortunate that it is only a 15 minute drive from our cottage, and it's always a treat.
this place is just plain fantastic. The food is out of this world, the most freindly staff available and extremly clean. Very authentis decor and food. It;s been a while since we had food like this, extrordenery. Deffenetely recommend to everyone. it is worth a long trip to this place. Now they even added a fantastic licensed Lounge. really nice for a quiet drink.
This is by far, the best fish dinner I have ever had. This restaurant has a detailed Swiss aumbiance and the service was fantastic. We have travelled 45 minutes from home each time we visited here and feel it is well worth the trip. I have recommended this restaurant to everyone in my area. Beware, the Tuesday special is not offered in the summer season but the rest of their fare is also very good. As for mel's low rating in the other review, I can't believe he is talking about the same place either. This establishment, in my opinion, is a "Jewel in the Near-North".
We have been at this Restaurant several times even though it is a 45 minute drive for us. Once again we were completely satisfied with the meal as usual. The valentines special was excellent, and the waitresses and Manager are the best. Friendly and helpful, extremly clean and nice atmosphere. Absolutly recommend to enyone.
Dlicious food, comfy atmosphere, friendly wait staff and VERY clean. We've been there several times and always enjoyed it.
We had the schnitzel. Have dined there many times winter and summer and for breakfast and dinner. The food is fabulous, generous and the restaurant is warm and comfortable. Highly recommended for everyone. Try the vampire schnitzel if you like garlic. They have a great chef from Switzerland.
