    Excellent work, accommodating

    A local furniture restorer suggested Acacia to replace the caning on a stool. I emailed Steve, with a photo of the stool, and he telephoned me back with an estimate. We were travelling to Vancouver on an afternoon ferry, and needed to drop the stool off in the evening. Steve accommodated this, which I really appreciated as we were flying early the next morning. On our return 12 days later Steve had the stool all done, excellent job with the caning nice and tight. He also had rounded off the edge of the wood under the caning, which was too sharp and probably the reason the old caning failed in the first place. I would certainly recommend Steve and Acacia.

    A Wonderful Job!

    I am delighted with Stephen's craftsmanship and care in renovating an old, child-sized seagrass rocking chair that had been a gift to me 55 years ago. It is a pleasure to see it brought back to its original condition. I'm sure it will be a family heirloom that future generations will one to value and enjoy. Thanks so much Stephen!

    A store of knowledge!

    I have 2 old steamer chairs with wicker seats that need fixing. I contacted Stephen and emailed him photos. He phoned back to give me various options and lots of good advice. I was very impressed and would certainly give him any future repair business. It's great that we still have local people with the knowledge and interest to fix things.

    excellent chair repair

    He fixed a hand woven wicker seat and back on a rocking chair,rewove the rush seat on a ladderback chair and also rewove the seat on a danish teak chair after regluing it all at a reasonabe rate..........highly recommended.....
