If I could I’d give 5 stars for the instructor we had, but one star for the experience we left with in regards to how we were treated by the owner. Not recommending this place.
Sirota’s Alchymy is the best martial arts school for the following reasons. They have been successfully in business for over 20 yrs and keep on growing. They have programs available for everyone – children, youth, adults, pre school, special needs, families – and they specialize these programs specifically to suit each particular group’s needs. They have the largest facility available at their Richmond location. They are the best place to go for your child’s birthday party as they have a special birthday room as well as having the whole school privately for your party. They design programs available for schools and other facilities for those who cannot come into their locations. They have an excellent instructor to student ratio. The instructors are absolutely the best you could ever find anywhere. They do much more than excel in teaching martial arts, they instill valuable life skills in children as well as give back to the community both locally and around the world through numerous chartable works.
The martial arts school is the only one that I know so far that facilitates special needs classes. They have also just recently created a new advanced special needs class for individuals who are more advanced in their skills!

All the instructors are very professional and they have different specialize class such as Demo team, Competition team and special needs class that other schools don't usually have.
The largest martial arts school I have ever seen. The Alchymy has two separate training areas, including regular training mats, Tatami mats, and a circuit training area. Instructor-to-student ratio is very high. The staff is very friendly and professional, and ensure that students obtain a concrete framework in the two martial arts taught, taekwondo and hapkido. Programs are available for children ages 4 and up, where emphasis is additionally placed on developing essential life skills, such as self-discipline, courtesy, respect, and self-control. For adults and seniors there are classes of varying intensities for all skill levels, as well as opportunities for weapons training, demonstration techniques, and competition training at provincial and national levels. The Alchymy also provides the only specialized martial arts program in British Columbia for children with special needs, and is recognized for Autism Funding by the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development.
