Royal Inland Hospital Information

I sat in the emergency for over 4 hours and I heard and saw 3 nurses in a room just talking poorly about other patients and talking about there personal life, they were in and out of the room every 20 minutes but like shouldn’t you be helping people?!?! No one hear wants to hear about your boyfriend or mother in law and I asked a question at which she said “I can’t help you right now” and shut the door, all in all horrible experience people were rude and unprofessional.

One usually does not go to a hospital to be entertained. Couple of days ago I had hernia surgery. Met everyone involved on a first name basis and shared quite a few laughs. The Surgeon, Dr Kanji, greeted me like I was his long lost friend. OR staff, awesome but lights out. In recovery Armand (SN) excellent funny and courteous. I would love to write more space will not allow. RIH should be proud to have all of you on their staff. You are caring with only the patients best interest at heart. Thank

One of the worst hospitals ever. They dont like to treat you if you are obese and misdiagnose you often. Most of the staff are rude and ignorant and they need to be fired and replaced.

the parkade is badly in need of more handicapped parking spaces , and should have a minimum of 8 per floor near the elevators .most of the patients using the parkade have mobility issues and there are too few handicapped spaces ..

We had pretty good treatment from this hospital and all its staff in emergency,6 North and 7 North recently when my mother in law sustained a fractured hip. She died from complications yesterday but she was 94 and there if most often not a positive outcome from a fractured hip at this age. The staff were compassionate and fairly competent. Just a few little things to mention though: IV sites should be changed every 3 days and not left in for weeks on end creating cellulitis. Dyshagias need to be

This hospital is not even worth your time walking in there . take the extra deive and travel to a worthy hospital . not even worth a review . worst hosppital i have ever been too!!!!

Two near deaths in one family in one year due to incomitance

My husband has bladder, bowel, and lung cancer. It has metastasized to his brain. On Thursday Sept. 1st. his ankles were quite swollen. He went to emergency. An ultrasound revealed blood clots. He was given the Flagyl and a prescription for Warfarin by Dr. H. Van Zyl. Not enough space to describe the near death of husband and earlier my son.
