STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! I would give this company zero stars if i could. From start to finish our experience with Mikes Flooring has been a complete nightmare, and thats putting it lightly. Yellow pages wont let me write more than 500 characters which sucks but save your time and dont choose Mikes Flooring.
Great job by Mikes Flooring Team. Efficient, on time, reliable, and most importantly, great quality at a reasonable price. We will certainly use these guys again! Highly recommend!
Be very careful dealing with this company.
They overpromise and under deliver. If there is a problem (of which we had many) they will feed you lines of ‘we apologize for any inconvenience’ when they are not sorry at all nor do they offer any reasonable solutions to fix issues (our bound rug was cut upside down and left rolled up in our front hallway- like we weren’t going to notice when we unrolled it?!?).

This review is long over due! Last month my husband and I bought our new condo and we needed floors ASAP the old flooring wasdamaged . After doing some research, We found Mikes flooring Stor online. We saw some awesome products. Visited the showroom and saw more awesome products and deals. We scheduled a in home estimate. The estimators was professional , and knowledgeable and gave us some new ideas about our flooring. The price was unbeatable! The installers were friendly and respectful
Update: they saw the bad reviews online and will not reschedule the job until the posts are taken down AND we sign a waiver not to post online complaints.

Technician was late by hours, no one bothered to even call, after eventually showing up the guy promptly left because he didn't like my tone when I pointed out that he was very late and should've called.
Save yourself some grief and choose a company that cares about providing a decent service.
once they have your money, they won't come back to fix their own installation errors: won't return calls, blames problems on other things that aren't even true or applicable, etc. terrible installation, deceptive. On top of that, they advised I required almost twice the amount of carpeting that they used, which two independent carpeting companies verified. I never received the extra carpeting I paid for.
Buyer beware
I say yes to Mikes Carpet & Flooring because they had the best price, exceptional customer service. I had been doing research and checkout at least 10 stores. I was extremely impressed with Mikes Carpet & flooring customer service and price. At first I wanted to install engineered wood through out the house but I have two dogs and three kids. I changed my mind because Kelly from Mikes Carpet had advised me that engineered wood floor would scratch easily and laminate is more durable. The laminate selection they had looked so real - I could not tell the difference and it was cheaper in price which saved me a lot of money. Almost half of my budget. This gave me room to spend on other areas in the house. I decided to paint the house which turned out perfect because Mikes Carpet & Flooring provides painting service. On the flooring installation day the installers came on the time that I was given and was eager to work. I left the house to give them space but I did come back in between to check up how things were going and asked if they need anything. Sadik the installer was a pleasure to work with - very hard worker and a professional installer. In the quote that I received I did not have moving furniture because I was planning on doing it myself to save money but I was unable to move all the furniture. Sadki helped me out to move the furniture without any complaint that I did not have the place ready. Him and his helper finished the installation in one day.
The painting started two days after the flooring installation. Sam the painter was also a hard worker and a perfectionist. I am very happy with the service that I received. I recommend Mikes Carpet & Flooring to anyone that needs professional work done. They are honest with the work that they do. They follow the contract and there were no surprises. Most importantly my home looks beautiful! Thanks to all of Mikes Carpet & flooring to have made this process easier for me and my family.
We had new laminate flooring installed on May 27th, 2013.
-- did not inspect floors, transitions, doors, etc. on estimate. Just too measurements.
-- left us with incomplete work because they didn't inspect items prior to installation
-- they did NOT inform us the floors were uneven, if they had we would have said 'just leave our carpet then'
-- they installed on uneven floors without our consent. They just went ahead without even telling us.
-- did not remove linoleum from kitchen, causing further uneven floors!
-- called us later to say they would take up the floors and we could pay "$5,000 for floor leveling from another company (they were recommending, go figure, the company)" -- but this isn't the solution we wanted. Had they inspected the floors prior to installation, we would have said NO LAMINATE.
-- installers chipped floor, scratched door transition, and left a huge mess.
-- numerous conversations with Mike of Mike's Floors about getting a written statement of warranty from his company left us with NOTHING in writing, but he 'spoke' his guarantee to us many times.
What we wanted:
1) The chip in the floor repaired
2) The transition installed
3) A guarantee in writing and signed by Mike of Mike’s Carpet and Flooring that states Mike’s Carpet and Flooring shall be responsible for any and all damage to these floors in any of the uneven areas.
Update June 19, 2013
Mike's Flooring sent us a repair tech. Here are the results:
The chip in the floor was filled with paste. A brand-new installation, damaged by them, and instead of replacing the board, they filled it with paste. Poorly filled, might I add.
The transition in the bathroom: The installer showed up with two different types of transitions.. and the lower-profile type? Well that fit in the door perfectly, WITHOUT having to chop the door AT ALL.
We still have no written guarantee of warranty.
Buyer beware.
I found these guys on the net-they had a awesome promotion with good quality. The laminate was made in Europe $1.99sqft with free installation. I was surprised by the variety of colors that i got to choose from. They installation was fast and professional.
Mike's carpet & Flooring changed renovated my whole house in one week!! I wanted to chang all the floors in every room. I did not want the same thing through out the whole house and Mikes flooring worked with me and helped me choose whats best for me and my family. In the kids bedroom they installed carpet (so its not too cold for them) In my bedroom we put beautiful ebony hardwood flooring. In the bathroom on the upper floor we put tiles. The living room, we installed hardwood and the kitchen we installed laminate tile. We also have a bathroom without a bath so we decided to put hardwood as well. They also painted my house. I had two colors to choose from that was included in the painting price but anything extra I had to pay but Mike gave a discount. They finished the job in one week. I am sooo happy. My home looks fresh and new. We feel good in our home. Ever since we changed everything, I wake up everyday with a smile. When friends come over
We decided to renovate out house before winter. All my friends told me to change my old carpet to a new one but I was not convinced. I wanted something modern for my house. I called Mike's flooring and I spoke to Mike. He gave me many options to choose from. He then came to my house to look at the job and to see exactly what he would work best for me and my family. He adviced me to go with laminate because I have 3 kids and that laminate does not scratch and also it is healthier then carpet. He had brought samples with him. It was a choise between 8mm laminate or 12mm laminate. I decided to go with the dark walnut 12mm laminate because it looks like hardwood-it was a very reasonable price but looked exactly like hardwood-unless you are an expert then you would know that it was laminate. So anyways one week later the laminate was installed in my living roon,4 bedrooms. It looks amazing! It looks rich! When it was done I had friends come over for dinner and they were shocked how it looked. I am glad that I took the time to ask Mike on what to do and I appreciate the time he took to explain my options. I am so happy-we are all happy. My kids are actually excited to redecorate and organise there bedrooms. Thanks Mike and thanks to the installers-you guys did a great job!
