This year marks Mr. Ertman's 12th season at the helm of Rosebud Theatre. Highlights at Rosebud Theatre include Cotton Patch Gospel, Our Town, My Name Is Asher Lev, Anne of Green Gables, Queen Milli of Galt, The Road to Mecca, Man of La Mancha, Mary's Wedding, Damien and Fiddler on the Roof. He is also pleased to have brought May & Joe to the stage with co-writer Heather Pattengale and songwriter Paul Zacharias. In a rare return to the stage, he played Morrie in Rosebud's production of Tuesdays with Morrie. He has directed and/or designed for The Canadian Opera Company, Chemainus Theatre, The Citadel Theatre, Edmonton Opera, Manitoba Theatre Centre, Mirvish Productions, The National Arts Centre, Pacific Theatre, The Stratford Festival, Vancouver Opera and others. His musical Tent Meeting garnered four Dora nominations in Toronto including Best New Musical and Best Production, and a Sterling Award nomination in Edmonton for Outstanding Musical.
