While the fish tacos are listed under the small plates section of the menu, the two tacos are big enough to be considered an entrée (without sides). The soft white corn tortillas fold over flaky white fish (unbreaded!), shredded cabbage, salsa and chipotle mayo. Each taco is overflowing with stuff, so be prepared to get a bit messy. The chipotle mayo has a much-appreciated zip to it. While this certainly isn’t a Latin restaurant (and isn’t trying to be), the chef nails the tacos.
This friendly gastropub holds Happy Mondays, when all bottles of wine under $40 are half-price, and all other bottles are $20 off. They have a massive vino list, with more than 30 whites and just as many reds. A lot of their wines have California origins, but they also stock bottles from South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Chile, Canada and France. Match a bottle or two of your go-to vino with some of their snacks, small plates or charcuterie boards.
The Glass Monkey is a self-proclaimed gastropub that offers a large mix of different dishes. To go with their extensive wine and beer list, they have great food choices, such as their housemade sausage and their homemade pappardelle pasta. This place is great to go to with friends for some nice drinks and a quick bite to eat!
