Meet the owner

When Paul Nguyen and Angela Wong met, they were a perfect match. Paul had an extensive background in cooking and restaurant management with his parents in their family-owned Vietnamese restaurant, and Angela had the same experience in her parents’ Chinese takeout restaurant. The two joined forces – both in marriage and in the restaurant business.

“With all our experience in restaurants, it made sense to go into business together with Angela’s brother Christopher,” says Paul. “We spent a lot of time in her parents’ restaurant, the Golden Dragon, experimenting with taste profiles and recipes.”

With the influx of food trucks in 2012, Paul and Angela saw a great opportunity to measure the success of their recipes and brand in the public eye, launching their own food truck, Subs ‘n’ Bubbles. “We also liked the flexibility of the food truck,” Paul says. “We can go everywhere with our kitchen, and it is an advertising vehicle in and of itself.”
